# How your data is kept separate

*How AXO keeps your company's data apart from every other company's.*

Many companies use AXO, and each one's data is kept strictly apart. Every request is checked against the company it belongs to, in the database itself — not just on screen.

An automated check runs on every change to AXO's code. If a change could let one company see another's data, it's rejected before it can be released.

- Integration keys you give us are encrypted at rest.
- Posted entries can't be changed or deleted, and the audit log can't be edited.
- Permissions are enforced by the server, so hiding a button is never the only protection.
