# Frequently asked questions

*Short answers to the questions we're asked most.*

**Q: Does the AI post entries on its own?**
A: No. AXO's AI prepares drafts; a person with the right permission approves them. This is enforced by the system and can't be switched off.

**Q: Is there a free trial?**
A: No. Instead, every plan is 90% off for its first six billing cycles, so you can start from $1.90 a month.

**Q: Can I bring my existing books?**
A: Yes — from Tally, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, or any Excel or CSV file. You see the opening trial balance before anything posts.

**Q: How long does setting up take?**
A: Most companies are set up in a day. Moving your books across depends on how much data you have; the import itself takes minutes.

**Q: Is my data safe from other companies?**
A: Yes. Every request is checked against your company in the database itself, and an automated check on every code change blocks anything that could expose another company's data.

**Q: Is AXO only for Pakistan?**
A: No. It works in any currency and is billed in US dollars. Pakistan has the most detailed tax pack.

**Q: Do I still need an accountant?**
A: Probably — and they'll find their work easier. AXO removes the typing and the hunting for figures, not the judgement.

**Q: What happens if I stop paying?**
A: Your account is limited, not deleted — you can still read and export everything. If the subscription ends, your data is kept for 90 days, then permanently deleted.

**Q: Can I get a refund?**
A: Yes. Ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. Email support@tryaxo.com.

**Q: Can AXO connect to my bank?**
A: AXO reads statement files from any bank, and can receive statements you forward by email. It doesn't need, and won't ask for, your bank login.

**Q: Why won't you take my bank login?**
A: Sharing bank credentials usually breaks your bank's terms and puts the risk on you. We won't build it.

**Q: Is FBR e-invoicing available?**
A: Not yet. It needs licensed-integrator status, which we're working towards. Withholding, sales tax and your filing calendar work today.

**Q: Can I edit a posted entry?**
A: No. You reverse it and post the correct one, so the full history stays visible.

**Q: Can one person raise and pay a bill?**
A: Not by default. Preparing and releasing a payment need two different people. An owner can change this, but we recommend leaving it on.

**Q: Does it work on my phone?**
A: Yes, in your phone's browser. You can approve, check cash and send reminders.

**Q: Does it work offline?**
A: No. AXO runs in the cloud, so your books are the same on every device.

**Q: Does AXO handle manufacturing?**
A: Yes — bills of materials, work orders and costing, on the Business plan.

**Q: Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude?**

**Q: Can I export my data?**
A: Yes, at any time — lists to CSV or Excel, reports to Excel or PDF.
