# Move from Tally

*Bring your accounts, customers and vendors across from Tally.*

1. In Tally, export your masters as XML.
2. In AXO, open the **Migration Centre** and choose **Tally**.
3. Upload the XML file. AXO turns your ledgers into a chart of accounts, and your party ledgers into customers and vendors.
4. Check the preview and confirm.
5. For opening balances, export your trial balance from Tally to Excel and import it. See [Opening balances](https://docs.tryaxo.com/opening-balances.md).

> **Note:** Tally groups such as Sundry Debtors, Sundry Creditors and Duties & Taxes are matched to the right account types for you. Check the preview before confirming.
