# Move from Xero

*Bring your chart of accounts across from Xero.*

1. In **Settings › Integrations**, open **Xero** and choose **Connect**.
2. Sign in to Xero and allow access.
3. AXO brings your chart of accounts into a preview. Archived accounts are left behind.
4. Check it and confirm.
5. Balances aren't included in the Xero connection — export your trial balance from Xero and import it for those.

> **Important:** Connecting only reads from Xero. AXO never changes anything in your Xero organisation.

Connecting to Xero needs the Professional plan or above.
