# Fix import problems

*What to do when an import is refused or finds problems.*

| Rows with errors | Some rows couldn't be read | Fix the listed line numbers and upload again |
| Difference isn't zero | Debits and credits don't agree | Find the line that's out in your source file |
| Already imported | This exact file was imported before | Choose to skip, update, or import anyway |
| Over the row limit | The file has more than 50,000 rows | Split it into smaller files |
| Account not found | A row refers to an account that doesn't exist | Import your chart of accounts first |

**Importing something twice**

When AXO finds records that already exist, it asks what to do: **skip** them, **update** them, or **import anyway** as new records. There's no default — you always choose.
