# Import from Excel or CSV

*Import customers, vendors, items, accounts or balances from a spreadsheet.*

1. Open the **Migration Centre** in Settings, or choose **Import** on the list you want to fill.
2. Choose what you're importing and upload your Excel or CSV file.
3. Match your columns to AXO's fields. Common column names are recognised for you.
4. Check the preview. Any rows with problems are listed with their line number and the reason.
5. Fix them in your file and upload it again, or correct them in the preview.
6. Confirm the import.

> **Note:** A file can have up to 50,000 rows. Split anything larger into several files.

If a large import is interrupted, AXO shows exactly how far it got and marks it as failed — it never leaves a half-finished import that looks complete.
