# The Inbox

*One place for everything that's waiting on a person to act.*

The Inbox collects everything waiting on a human decision, so you don't have to visit every area of AXO to find out what needs you.

**What appears in it**

- **Approvals** — bills, payments, payroll runs and documents waiting for someone with authority to approve them.
- **Drafted by AXO** — entries and documents AXO prepared that need checking before they post.
- **Alerts** — overdue invoices, filing deadlines, and anything that failed and needs attention.
- **Reconcile** — bank lines waiting to be matched.
- **Vendor changes** — profile updates and documents your vendors sent through the vendor portal.

Use the filters at the top to show one type at a time. The number beside Inbox in the sidebar is how many items are open.

Acting on an item — approving a bill, posting a draft, sending a reminder — removes it from the Inbox and updates the count straight away.

> **Note:** You only see items you're allowed to act on. Payroll runs waiting for approval appear only for people who can view payroll, and the Inbox never shows salary amounts.
