# Receive bank statements by email

*Forward your bank's statement emails to AXO and the lines arrive ready to reconcile.*

Many banks email statements on a schedule. Instead of downloading and uploading each one, you can forward them to a private AXO address.

1. In **Settings › Integrations**, open **Bank statements by email** and turn it on.
2. Copy your company's private statement address.
3. Add the address your bank sends from to the list of allowed senders.
4. In your email account, create a rule that forwards your bank's statement emails to the AXO address.

Each attached statement is read and its lines land in the reconciliation inbox. Every email received is logged, including any that couldn't be read and why.

> **Important:** AXO never asks for your online banking login. Statements by email works without one.

> **Note:** Emails from senders that aren't on your allowed list are refused, and forwarding the same statement twice doesn't create duplicates.
