Chart of accounts
The list of accounts your entries post to, and how each account's type decides where it appears in reports.
AXO includes chart of accounts templates for common types of business. Start from one, or bring your existing chart across when you migrate.
Every account has a type — asset, liability, equity, income or expense — and a more specific sub-type. Reports use the type and sub-type to place each account, so a chart brought from another system, with its own account codes, still produces correct statements.
Note
When you add an account, choose its sub-type carefully. It decides where the account appears on the balance sheet and the profit and loss.
