Invoice statuses
What each status means, and how an invoice moves from draft to paid.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Being prepared. Not in your books yet. |
| Pending | Submitted and waiting for approval. |
| Approved | Posted to the ledger. Counts as money owed to you. |
| Partially paid | Part of the amount has been received. |
| Paid | Settled in full. |
| Voided | Cancelled by reversal. Kept for the audit trail. |
Overdue isn't a separate status. Any approved or partially paid invoice past its due date shows a red label with how many days overdue it is, and appears under the Overdue filter.
Inside an invoice
Open an invoice to see its totals and tabs for line items, tax breakdown, payments, activity — who did what, and when — and GL, which shows the exact journal entries the invoice created.
