Set up your company

Set your company details, fiscal year, base currency and tax pack before you post anything.

A few settings decide how every report is calculated, so set them first. They're in Settings › Company.

  1. Company details — legal name, address and registration numbers. In Pakistan, add your NTN and STRN; they print on invoices and tax documents.
  2. Fiscal year — the month your financial year starts. In Pakistan this is usually July. Reports, filing periods and tax statements all follow it.
  3. Base currency — the currency your books are kept in. You can still invoice, pay and hold bank accounts in other currencies.
  4. Tax pack — the local tax rules AXO applies to invoices, bills and payroll.
  5. Chart of accounts — start from a template for your type of business, or bring your existing chart across when you migrate.

Warning

Set the fiscal year before you post any entries. A wrong fiscal year places every report and tax statement in the wrong period.

Document sign-off

Choose who signs which documents — for example Prepared by, Checked by and Authorised signatory on invoices — and upload each signer's signature. A signature only appears on a document once the matching approval has actually happened in AXO. Documents with no signature block carry a line saying they're computer-generated.
